How to drive traffic to your blog for new bloggers

For a new blogger, driving traffic to your blog is a huge hurdle that you have to cross.

There are many ways of getting blog traffic. You can make use of free traffic on social media like Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter. You can also create paid advertisements on these social media platforms to increase your blog traffic.

Search Engine Optimization, SEO, is also something that the big bloggers will emphasize on. But it takes time for Google to index your new blog pages. In other words, it takes time for your blog’s organic search traffic to grow.

Even with all the necessary keywords and optimization done, you would still be looking at a time frame of 6 to 12 months for Google to start recognizing your blog.

Therefore, the best way for a new blogger to grow your blog traffic is actually through Pinterest!

Why Pinterest is super helpful for new bloggers

Pinterest favors content creators. This means that even if you are completely new on Pinterest, as long as you are consistently creating new pins linking to new pages, you will be favored!

That brings you, a new blogger, to the same playing ground as big bloggers!

Isn’t that incredible news and a dazzling beacon of hope for new bloggers who are struggling with blog traffic?

By the way, more than 70% of my blog traffic comes from Pinterest. My blog has only recently been receiving organic traffic from Google, 6 months after my new site was set up.

Side story: I have been blogging for 1.5 years but, six months ago, I decided to migrate my site from Strikingly to Bluehost for the purposes of improving my site’s SEO. I encountered issues with migration so I ended up setting up a brand new site with a new domain instead.
